Papa’s Pearls & Perils is a collection of practical wisdom, warnings, stories, and life lessons intended for the generations that follow.

Some lessons come gently. Others arrive with a bill attached.

This section may include thoughts on money, marriage, work, faith, mistakes, responsibility, independence, and the value of learning from someone else’s bruises whenever possible.

The “pearls” are the things worth keeping. The “perils” are the things worth avoiding.

Having lived long enough to collect a few of both, I hope to pass along what may be useful — especially to those I love, and to anyone else willing to listen.

These started out as being thoughts, ideas and values that I wanted to pass onto my grandchildren.  It has expanded into what you see here.
