CAVU Skies

CAVU Skies is the aviation section of The Itinerant Soul.

CAVU — ceiling and visibility unlimited — is one of aviation’s beautiful phrases. It suggests clarity, freedom, range, and the rare pleasure of seeing far.

This section may include aviation reflections, pilot training ideas, fire aviation, safety lessons, flying stories, instructional pieces, and observations from a life spent around aircraft, weather, risk, judgment, and responsibility.

CAVU Skies is for those who understand that flying is never only about machines. It is about discipline, humility, skill, and seeing the world from a different angle.

Having been a pilot and flight instructor for over 50 years, this is something I understand at a very deep level.  Come along with me as we explore those CAVU skies!
